Hero Arts My Monthly Hero February Release and a Giveaway!

Hi everybody and welcome to the Feberuary 2021 My Monthly Hero kit release from Hero Arts. 

In case you aren't familiar with the My Monthly Hero Kit... It's a kit that comes on the first Monday of every month and has an incredibly high value but is offered at a discounted rate. This month's kit is valued at $70 but you can pick it up for just $34.99. There is a catch though... Once the kit is sold out it's gone for good. You can put dibs on a kit of your own by subscribing to receive the kit each month. Each month there are add-on products that match the theme of the kit too and subscribers get the perk of being able to add those extra products for no additional shipping costs. This month's kit is a tropical, Hawaiian themed kit and is so much fun. To make my card I used one of the add-on stamps called, Hibiscus Flowers Bold Prints, to stamp my background in Soft Pool ink.

Then, I stamped the tree and some flowers in black ink and colored them with my copic markers. I stamped my sentiments on gray cardstock and cut them into wide strips which I adhered using foam adhesive. 

I glued the background onto my gray cardbase.

To finish my card off I glued the tree and flowers to my card. Then I added some clear enamel dots to embellish the card.

The second card that I'm sharing today is the card that I shared for my Countdown post a few days ago. This is another fun example of how you can use this kit.

I ink blended the background using reactive inks and splattered it with white metallic ink.

Then, I glued my sentiment and colored images to my card.

Hero Arts February 2021 My Monthly Hero: Countdown and a Giveaway!

Hi everybody! It's time to count down the days until the next My Montly Hero release from Hero Arts and boy is it a fun one! My sneak peek card is full of tropical flowers and paradise and is totally reminding me how much I need a tropical vacation. 

I started my card out by ink blending my background panel in Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks. Then I splattered it with White Metallic Ink. I popped the background up on a black card base using foam tape for extra dimension.

I colored the toucan, birds of paradise, flowers and leaves with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

I arranged all the pieces to cover the bottom of the blue panel and glued them on using glue dots and foam adhesive so that I could add different levels of dimension. To finish my card off I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.
