gina k and brutus monroe

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are excited to get going with a new week. One of my favorite things is when two companies get together and decide to do a collaboration release of super fun products. That's what's going on today and we have an awesome collaboration release from Gina K. Designs and Brutus Monroe to share with you.

For my card I've used the gorgeous new floral design called, Seeds of Joy Stamp Set. Now, I chose to use the main floral image but it's also got a really fun seed packet image that I can't wait to use as well. I heat embossed the flowers using the new Wisteria Land Embossing Powder (hello, gorgeous purple!). Then I masked the image off using Masking Magic Sheets. I inkblended over the top of the masking paper in tones of yellow using a darker tone closer to the flowers. Then, I peeled off the masking paper revealing a crisp, clean floral image.

Next, I pulled out my copic markers I added some drop shadows in yellows and oranges before adding a little shading to the flowers (Purples and pinks). After I was done with my markers I stamped the sentiment in Onyx Black ink. I added a black mat behind my image piece and I think the black really helps the colors pop.

Gina K Designs Release

Hello everybody! Thanks for stopping by today because I have a clean and simple card to share with you today. I'm using the brand new Winter Window stamp set from Gina K Designs. Now, this set has some really beautiful elements that can be used to build a window scene complete with a window treatment,  trees in the distance and beautiful birds. There are also coordinating dies! There is so much you can do with this set but for today I decided to keep it simple.

I stamped the tree in black onto watercolor paper. Then I watercolored with my Karin markers.

I started out by watercoloring the ribbon and ornaments before moving on to coloring the tree. After that I watercolored the presents. It was so hard for me to do but I managed to leave the background white.

I heat embossed my sentiment in black and then I popped my panel up on a light blue card base.

Gina K Designs July 2021 Release: Absolutely Autumn!

Happy Monday everybody! It is release day for Gina K Designs and I've got a colorful "thank you" card to share with you today. I've combined the brand new Absolutely Autumn stamp set with a sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies 2 stamp set. 

I started out by making some watercolor washes on watercolor paper. I used a combination of my Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors and Nuvo Shimmer Powders from Tonic Studios. When that was dry I stamped a whole bunch of the images from the Absolutely Autumn set in black ink right on top of my shimmery watercolored cardstock. I cut all of the images out by hand because I don't have the coordinating dies. It took a little while but was totally worth it so I could play around with the images and have some fun with them.

Next, I inkblended a white card panel with a little bit of Splash Reactive ink. Then I glued on a circle frame die cut in gold glimmer paper. I heat embossed a sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies 2 set into the center of the circle. Then, I used the left side of the circle as a guide to place my leaves.

After that all I had to do was splatter the background with my Glitter Gloss pen and then add some Nuvo drops in Mustard Gold.

Gina K Designs New Release: Beautiful Butterflies 2

Heyooooo! It's Gina K Designs release day and boy do I have a beautiful stamp set to share with you! Today I will be using the new Beautiful Butterflies 2 stamp set. It coordinates with the existing Beautiful Butterflies Dies set and the new Beautiful Butterflies 2 Dies.

I started out by inkblending a piece of white cardstock in Abandoned Coral and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks. Then I heat embossed the butterfly using Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder and cut it out. I added some white detail using a gel pen just to add a little bit of contrast and show off the gorgeous design inside of the butterfly.

Next, I inkblended a piece of watercolor cardstock using Blueprint Sketch, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. I sprayed this with Iridescent Shimmer Spray and then splattered it with White Metallic Ink while it was still wet (this allowed the white to bleed and spread a little). I cut this panel down to 3.75" x 5" stamped my sentiment before adding it to a black cardbase with foam tape.

The final step was to attach this gorgeous butterfly to my card with foam tape and some embellishments to up the pretty factor.
