Today is Day Threeof the Countdown to Creativity and I've got a card featuring a large background stamp that is included in the March 2023 kit (it's in both the Classic and Premium kits). I used the new Neon Brights Liquid Watercolors to color the image and I love the colors so much! I started by stamping my image in Onyx Pigment Ink on Luxe Watercolor cardstock. I covered the pigment ink in clear embossing powder and heat set it. This gave the image a glossy, raised look.
Next, I used my Neon Brights Liquid Watercolors (and a couple of the regular colors) to watercolor the background. For the grapefruit I added some of the white liquid watercolor with the neons to get a more muted color.
To finish the card off I added the background to a black cardbase and a sentiment from the kit (heat embossed in white on Pitch Black cardstock).
Ok you guys, that is it for today! Tomorrow is the full release so make sure to come back here at 10am Pacific time to see the whole release! And, if you'd like a chance to win a kit before you can buy it then leave a comment below and head to the Hero Arts blog to see posts from the other team members.
Hi everybody! I'm glad you're here because I had so much fun making the card that I'm sharing with you today. Earlier this week Hero Arts had a stunning new release and it was all about those butterflies! The add-ons are equally fabulous so today I'm sharing two of my favorite add-ons with you: theBeautiful Butterflies Bundleand theBackground Texture Strips.
Now, I'm the kind of crafter who always has colorful scraps of past projects lying around. I noticed I had a piece of white cardstock that I had been using to get some ink off of my blending brushes and it was such a pretty color combination that I decided to use the scrap. It also had some random stamping using the the script stamp from the Background Texture Strips so it was truly meant to be used for this card.
I cut the paper down to A2 size and finished ink blending it in Ultra Pink, Lemon Yellow, and, Summer Sky. I wanted to add a little more visual texture to the background so I splattered it with rubbing alcohol to create some lighter spots and I also sprayed it with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. I wanted to some more "shadow" to the background so I used the Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts (still connected) to create a stencil. I gently ink-blended the negative portion of the die cut using Granite Core ink and focusing on the outer edges of the card face. This left me with a soft, beautiful background that had a lot of visual texture...
But, If you know me, you know that I like texture that I can touch! So I grabbed the Background Texture Strips stamp set and I decided to use the stamp that looks like tiny newspaper print (remember there was already some of the scripty stamp on the background from a previous project). I used the newspaper print stamp (on a stamping block) with Moonstone Pigment ink around the edges of the card-face and then I heat embossed it in clear so that it was shiny and raised. Next, I used the Star Cluster Stencil and my Pearl Hero Paste to add some stars to the background. Note that this has a gorgeous pearlescent finish. The pearlescent finish faded into the background shimmer and I had really wanted more contrast so the stars popped off the background. In the end I decided to color all of the paste with a white gel pen to get the contrast I wanted (hot tip: use the regular Hero Paste for more contrast).
To create a focal point for my card I heat embossed a butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies set in White Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock. I die cut it with the coordinating dies and adhered it with foam tape. My sentiment is from the Sending Love Mail stamp set and I heat embossed it on Charcoal cardstock using Onyx Pigment ink and Clear Embossing Powder. The final touch was to add some Pewter Hero Pearls to the background.
Alright, that's it for today! I hope you all have a great day and I will see you back here soon!
Hey everybody! I'm stopping for a quick hello and to share some mixed media love for some awesome Hero Arts products! This project is up on the Hero Arts blog today but I wanted to share it here too. For all of the details on how I made it please head on over to the Hero blog.
I had the background in my stash so I grabbed a piece of vellum and heat embossed in Onyx Pigment ink using the Mini Hearts Bold Prints set. I heat set it with clear embossing powder, sprinkled a little gold embossing powder over that, and heat set it again for a cool, gilded look to my hearts.
After that I used the Love and Florals Fancy Dies to create a die-cut sentiment. I added a little white detail to the letters so they would pop off of the card little more. All of the layers of the card are adhered with foam tape so there is a ton of dimension to this card!
Ok! That was short and sweet but I hope you liked today's card. Remember, if you'd like more details please head on over to the Hero Arts blog to read more.

Today is Day Oneof the Countdown to Creativity and I've got a colorful Christmas scene to share with you. I started by stamping some of the scenes in Onyx Pigment Ink and then heat embossing them in clear. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I figured out where I wanted the scene images to fit on my card front and ink blended the sky using Reactive Inks in Taffy and Lemon Drop. I inkblended the bottom with Pool Party then sprayed the whole background with white iridescent shimmer spray. Then, I stamped and heat embossed the Santa and elf images onto my background pieces.
Finally, I added the die cut scene images using liquid glue and foam tape. I cut the excess off of both sides so that the images would be flush with the background. I added the background piece to a Pitch Black mat and that was it!

Hey everybody! It's Maria here and I am really happy to be here to share a mixed media card that I had so much fun making. I started out wanting to focus on the beautiful new Leaf Circle Stencil (so great for Autumn cards, right?) and when I saw how magical it looked in gold I decided to go with more of a nature/woodland theme. I know this card looks like a lot but it's actually easy to make so let me walk you through it step-by-step.
BACKGROUND:
Cut a piece of Luxe Watercolor Cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5"
Spray the background with liquid watercolor sprays of your choice (I added liquid watercolor and water to a spray bottle to create my own sprays). I used Leaf, Jungle Mist, Indigo and Art Print Brown. Allow to dry.
Spray the same watercolor colors onto your work surface and smoosh your dried background into the color. This will add unpredictable visual texture and some extra color to your background. Allow to dry.
Place your Leaf Circle Stencil over your background piece. I secured mine from the back with washi tape so that it would stay in place. Use your palette knife to spread Gold Hero Wax through the stencil. Don't worry about perfection- partial stenciling will add character to your background.
Remove the stencil (put it in water so it will be easy to wash later) and immediately sprinkle some Sand Embossing Powder over the wet wax (a couple of pinches should do the trick). Make sure not to completely cover the wax so that you can still see the gold.
Heat the embossing powder and wax to set them. This will melt the Sand Embossing Powder and it will also bubble the wax for extra texture.
Splatter the background with White Glimmer Metallic Ink for extra magic.
FOCAL POINT:
Stamp the text stamp from the Sending Love Mail stamp in Granite ink onto vellum. Cut this piece to 2.5" x 3.5" and set it aside.
Use the Mushrooms and Ferns Fancy Dies to die cut mushrooms and ferns from Luxe Watercolor Cardstock. I left the ferns white.
Using Liquid Watercolor sprays, spray the tops of the mushrooms Orange and the stems Art Print Brown.
I used Tomato ink (ink-blending) and Copic markers to add a little bit of extra color and shading to my my mushrooms.
Stamp the sentiment from Zen Messages in Aquamarine Pigment ink, heat emboss it in clear and cut it into a strip.
ASSEMBLE:
Add your background to a cardbase. I used Precision Glue to do this.
Adhere your sentiment strip to the vellum piece then layer the ferns and mushrooms on top using either foam adhesive or glue dots to create dimension.
Add foam adhesive to the vellum making sure to hide it behind the sentiment, ferns and mushrooms. Attach the focal point to the background.
The final step is to splatter the focal point with White Glimmer Metallic ink. I covered my sentiment with a piece of washi tape to protect it.
Now you've got a finished card with tons of color and eye-catching texture! I hope some of you might have fun recreating this card or using some of the techniques I've shared today.
I hope you all have an awesome day today, but if your day is feeling hard, try to just let that shitake go!

This kit comes with a really fun layering flamingo stamp set (and coordinating dies which I didn't use). I stamped my flamingos in Cotton Candy, Neon Ombre : Neon Red to Purple, and, Intens-fied black ink.
Once my flamingos were stamped I added some water at their feet using Mist ink. I added the sentiment on top of that using Onyx Pigment ink and clear embossing powder. The final step was to cut my image piece down to size and mat it on both Pitch Black and Bermuda cardstocks.
That is it for today you guys but if you want a chance to win this kit before you can buy it please head over to the Hero Arts blog and enter to win! We usually launch the MMH kits on the first Monday of the month but tomorrow is a holiday so this kit will be launching on Tuesday, July 5th. I will see you on Tuesday for the full reveal!

I started off by spraying a piece of Luxe watercolor cardstock with my DIY liquid watercolor sprays. Then I heat embossed my images in Onyx Pigment ink and heat embossed them in clear.
I splattered the background with White Glimmer Metallic Ink to add a little magic.
Finally, I heat embossed some of the tall kelp in white onto Pitch Black cardstock and cut it out by hand. I added the kelp using foam tape to give it a little bit of extra dimension and that was it!

Hey everybody! It's almost time for the May 2022Hero ArtsMy Monthly Hero release and this month's kit is a super fun kit packed with... well, I'm not telling you because my card doesn't give the theme away!

Today is Day Twoof the Countdown to Creativity and I've got a sneak peek of this month's kit to share with you... and this month's kit is one of my absolute favorite themes! I can't spill all of the beans yet because this is just a sneak peek so stay tuned because the full release is on Monday!
For today's card I started out by stamping the fish and the seaweed in Onyx Pigment ink and heat embossing it in clear. Next, I colored the images with my copic markers and die cut them out. I also die cut a circle frame in gold using my circle nesting dies and cut the center out of a piece of 4"x 5.25" piece of cardstock.
Next, I ink-blended Pool Party and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks onto a cardbase making sure that the color was placed so that it would line up with the hole I cut in the smaller cardstock piece. I sprayed the color with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and allowed that to dry. While that was drying I glued the gold frame to my front panel and heat embossed my sentiment using Sapphire Pigment Ink and Clear embossing powder.
I added foam tape to the back of my front panel and adhered to my cardbase. Then, I used foam tape to adhere my seaweed and my fish. The seaweed is tucked behind the front panel so it looks like it's growing out from the circle. The final touch for this card was to add a bunch of bubbles using the new Hero Pearls in White.
Well, that is it for today you guys! If you'd like a chance to win this kit before you can buy it then head on over to the Hero Arts blog to enter. I'll see you back here on Monday for the full release (it's amazing so make sure to come back!)!

For today's card I stamped the large background stamp from the kit in versamark ink and heat embossed in Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder. Then, I inkblended the background using some of my favorite Reactive Ink colors: Taffy, Lemon Drop, Pool Party, Splash and Thistle. I overlapped the colors as I went creating easy color transitions. I trimmed this colorful piece down a little bit and added it to a black mat.
Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from the kit in white onto black cardstock and cut it out using the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies. I added a few black enamel dots and called it good! There was hardly ever an easier card made than this one!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are excited to get going with a new week. One of my favorite things is when two companies get together and decide to do a collaboration release of super fun products. That's what's going on today and we have an awesome collaboration release from Gina K. Designs and Brutus Monroe to share with you.
For my card I've used the gorgeous new floral design called, Seeds of Joy Stamp Set. Now, I chose to use the main floral image but it's also got a really fun seed packet image that I can't wait to use as well. I heat embossed the flowers using the new Wisteria Land Embossing Powder (hello, gorgeous purple!). Then I masked the image off using Masking Magic Sheets. I inkblended over the top of the masking paper in tones of yellow using a darker tone closer to the flowers. Then, I peeled off the masking paper revealing a crisp, clean floral image.
Next, I pulled out my copic markers I added some drop shadows in yellows and oranges before adding a little shading to the flowers (Purples and pinks). After I was done with my markers I stamped the sentiment in Onyx Black ink. I added a black mat behind my image piece and I think the black really helps the colors pop.
Ok, that's it for today you guys! Have an amazing day. Normally I say I'll see you back here soon but I probably won't be back on the blog this week as I'll be at Creativation in Florida! Take care!

Today is Day Threeof the Countdown to Creativity and I've got a sneak peek of this month's kit to share with you... and this month's kit is fun for so many reasons! I can't spill all of the beans yet because this is just a sneak peek so stay tuned because the full release is tomorrow!
This month's kit comes with a great 6x6" background stamp (and so much more). I ink blended my background using Key Lime Fizz, Pool Party, Blue Raspberry and Splash Reactive inks. Then, I heat embossed the background stamp in white onto my ink-blended background.
I cut my background down to 3.75" x 5.25 and added a black mat. That resulted in an abnormal size for an A2 card so I cut 1/4" off the side of my white cardbase and added my colorful background on top.
To finish my card off I added a banner, sentiment and some gold keys from the kit. Next time I have a friend who moves I've got a fun little card to send their way!
Ok, guys, that's it for today. For a chance to win this kit before you can buy it head on over to the Hero Arts blog to get all of the details! I'll see you back here tomorrow for the full release!

PRODUCT SUPPLY LIST (Affiliate links may be used at no extra cost to you):
Hey everybody and happy release day for Tonic Studios Stamp Club! This month's release is called Christmas Rose and it is such a beautiful and versatile set. You can get artsy with it, you can stamp, or, you can die cut your way into mass producing your holiday cards. We've got a blog hop full of inspiration and an epic giveaway so head to the bottom of this post to get those details. I've also got a VIDEO showing a ton of ways to use this bundle so make sure you check that out too.
Now, I've got about a million cards to share with you with you so let's get to it. For my first card I stamped the main floral image (by the way, I illustrated this stamp which is a first for me) in black ink onto white cardstock and I colored it with my copic markers.
Before I get any further here's that video I promised you...
Next, I used the dies cut the panel and add a dotted frame.
I stamped the border of my cardbase in a light blue using one of the texture stamps to add some soft, subtle texture.
For my next card I used the same stamp but this time I stamped it twice in black ink.
I ink blended the background in Distress Oxide Ink and then splattered the background with Glitter Gloss for some extra sparkle.
I stamped and die cut the sentiment and popped it up using foam tape, added a black mat, and mounted the whole thing to a white cardbase.
This next card has a totally different look. I watercolored the background using Nuvo Aquaflows in different greens.
Then I heat embossed the pine needle stamp repeatedly in gold to create a frame for my sentiment.
I cut the sentiment out in Gold Glitter cardstock and vellum, layered it up and added it to my card to finish it off.
I used the same pine needle stamp for this next card. This time I die cut the center piece with one of the dies included in the set . Then I stamped it with pine needles in green ink.
I heat embossed my sentiment in red and die cut it out so I could add it to my card front using foam tape. I added it to my kraft card base using foam tape to add a little extra dimension.
I added a few enamel dots in red to add a little more color and called it good.
This bundle is amazing for making shaker cards! I cut out multiple solid frames and glued them together to create a frame for my shaker card. I created the two top layers using a solid red layer and a dotted layer in gold glitter.
I added holly berries that I cut in green and red foil and added those to the edges of the frame.
The final step was to add my die cut sentiment to the front of the shaker.
This next card was so easy to put together using some patterned paper and the dies from the bundle. I started out by covering my card base in blue star cardstock. Then I cut a layer of star paper to put my sentiments on.
I added some detail to the background using the dotted detail from one of the dies.
Then I added my sentiments. This was such an easy card but I love the way it came out.
This next card was made similarly to my last one. The cool thing about this one is that I used the layering dies to create some custom sized layering pieces. Check out my video to learn how to do that.
Again, I used patterned paper to make an easy card. I don't use a lot of patterned paper in general but I have to say it sure made for some easy but pretty cards.
I added bot a die cut and stamped sentiment to this card followed by some stars to finish it off.
This next card started out with a base of patterned paper.
Then I added a circle of red foil and topped it off with a sentiment and some dies.
This may be one of the easiest cards I've ever made but with all of the foil I think somebody will be happy to get it in the mail.
If you like to send photo cards out then this set is great for that! You can build frames in different ways and easily add a photo and a sentiment. I've just got one example for you of you can do this but if you have a little play with all of the different frames you can create with this bundle I think you'll be surprised at what you can create.
This next card is a mini slimline card and it is a really easy card to make. I used some patterned paper as my base. Then I gold embossed the splatter stamp set a few different times in a diagonal.
I heat embossed my sentiment in black onto vellum and cut it out in a strip. I adhered it to the background using glue dots.
The final touch was to add a few rhinestones to increase the sparkly factor.
My last card is a three by three card and is the perfect size to include with a gift.
I added the die cut sentiment with a swirl of gold thread behind it. Then I added a few rhinestones as accents. It only took a minute to make this card and I'm sure I'll end making quite a few more before I'm done.
Well, that's it for today you guys! I hope you'll check out my VIDEO to get even more information than I've shared here. Make sure to enter the giveaway by leaving a comment here on my blog before you continue on with this awesome blog hop!
Have an awesome day! Maria
