WWYS #3: By the Tide

Welcome back to What Will You Stamp?! This weeks' stamp set is By the Tide!

This set is one of my absolute favorites and it was tough to decide what to make because I wanted to use ALL of the stamps! But, I exercised a little self control and settled on the fish stamp. Here's my card...

I hand colored the fish with Stampin' Write markers after embossing it in black. I really wanted it to stand out so my background is simple. Here's a helpful tip: Whenever you color over an embossed image, carefully wipe it with a kleenex or a paper towel afterwards. Some of the ink from your markers will sit, unabsorbed, on top of the embossing and it may smear (and ruin your card, oh no!) if you don't clean it up right away. I've ruined a beautiful card this way before so I hope I can prevent you from repeating my mistakes!

To color in this fish I used Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Pool Party and Island Indigo Stampin' Write Markers. I love to color! Check out the WWYS image below-here's what the whole By the Tide set looks like. Now you can see why I had such a hard time choosing which stamp to use with so many terrific options.

And now I'm anxiously awaiting your fabulous cards! I can't wait to see which stamps you will decide to use from this set so please hurry up and post them at WWYS #3.

Until then, I will be wondering...  What Will You Stamp?

If you want to check out the supplies I used this week please check out the handy revolving list below.
Have a great week everybody!
