It's Monday and that means another week of What Will You Stamp? This is a big week-Week 10! This week our challenge is to use Painted Petals. What a great set! Here's my card...
I made the background first using water color paper, a spritzer and my heat tool (sit and watch the paper dry... "aint nobody got time for that!"). Before watercoloring I clear embossed some of the flowers on the white paper. They created a color resist effect. That's why you can see some white flowers in the background.
It's hard to see in these pictures (so check out the ones below) but there is actually a lot of dimension to this card. I used the retired Doilies Framelit to cut the doily out of vellum which I embossed with Heat and Stick Powder and then Dazzling Diamonds to get that shimmery, diamond crusted look. Then I cut it in half and put it back together to make it smaller.
Between the doily and the sentiment layers there is a layer of heat embossed vellum flowers that are glammed up with some rhinestones. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and I used my piercing tool to make a border. I added a little antiquing with my sponge dauber and bow in white twine and called it a day!
I really loved making this card! I was so wrapped up in the creation of the background-I got excited about every layer of color that I added....Kid in candy (stamp) shop I am! Here's the whole set for you to check out. I used four of the images (two sets of leaves, blossoms and the sentiment).
I can't wait to see what your ideas for this stamp set are! I'm hoping you'll join us this week at WWYS and play along. Who knows?! Maybe you'll win the challenge and be the lucky one who gets invited to be our Guest Designer!! Seriously! Give it a go! See you all again next week. Leave me a comment if you like. I love hearing from you all.

Here's a list of what I used to create this card. If you have any questions please ask! Did you know you could print out a product supply list? Look below my revolving product carousel and just to the left... see where it says, "Supply List?" Click there and you are good to go!
I absolutely love everything about this card Maria! What you did with the doily framelit is incredible!
