"The Strangeness" Watercoloring with Arteza Real Brush Pens

Hey everybody! I hope you are having an amazing day! My goal this week is to get caught up on some blog posts as I've been neglecting my blog a bit. If you feel like you've seen this card before and you follow me on Instagram then you are not dreaming. I posted this on IG a while back and never took the time to post here. This stamp set is one of my absolute favorites (It's called The Strangeness from Simon Says Stamps)! I love the gorgeous drawing style and the striking bold lines.

I used my Arteza Real Brush Pens and a water brush to paint this on Bristol Smooth paper. I love using these pens with this paper because the ink sits on top and is so easy to move around to get the affect that you want.

After coloring the image I die cut it and popped it up with foam tape. This is an odd sized card because I could not get myself to hack off the ends of the flowers to fit on an A2 card. I stamped the fantastic sentiment on the bottom and hand drew the black border with a sharpie. The background splatters were done with Distress Oxide ink to give it a shabby, grungy look that contrasts with the bright pop of flowers.

That's all for today guys! I hope you have an amazing day and I will see you back here soon!

Maria
