VIDEO: Hero Arts My Monthly Hero December Release and a Giveaway!

Hello everybody! I hope you all had a great weekend! I'm glad you're here because we are kicking Monday off with a bang! Today is the launch of the new Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit and it is a fun one! In case you aren't familiar with the My Monthly Hero Kit... It's a kit that comes on the first Monday of every month and has an incredibly high value but is offered at a discounted rate. This month's kit is valued at $78 but you can pick it up for just $34.99. There is a catch though... Once the kit is sold out it's gone for good. You can put dibs on a kit of your own by subscribing to receive the kit each month. Each month there are add-on products that match the theme of the kit too and subscribers get the perk of being able to add those extra products for no additional shipping costs. You can check out the entire release HERE.
This month's kit is phenomenal and so perfect for this time in many of our lives. The theme of this month's kit is hope and it is filled with everything you need to make gorgeous, uplifting cards. I've got a video showing how I made this card so if you'd like to check that out you can click HERE or scroll down a bit. I started this card by adding some double sided adhesive tape to the back of white cardstock. Then I stamped my clouds in a combo of buttermilk and bubblegum inks. I heat embossed the clouds in clear embossing powder to seal the ink.

Next I ink-blended Splash ink over the cardstock panel using a flat, round brush. I ink-blended right over the top of my clouds since they were sealed with embossing powder.

I used the hope die to cut into my card panel. Then I peeled the sticker backing off of the cardstock and stuck it onto my black card base. The last thing I did was to stamp my sentiment in black ink using my Misti.

If you'd like to check out how I made my first card here's the video...

For my second card I'm giving you a look at a card that I shared yesterday. I think my favorite parts of this kit are the cloud die and the fancy cloud window die. For this card I've combined these two dies to make a bright and happy card. The clouds are shimmery and so is the background.  To make this card I sprayed white cardstock with shimmer spray and die cut clouds. Then, I cut the cloud window fancy die from white cardstock and ink-blended it using Splash and Blue Hawaii inks. I ink-blended a background using Lemon Drop and Fruit Punch inks then splattered it with white metallic ink and a some shimmer spray. After that I just adhered it all together using foam tape.

For my third card I used the layering  cloud stamps, sunshine and the Sea and Sky stencil which is one of this month's kit add-ons. I used Grape Slush, Butter Bar, Bubble Gum and white puff embossing powder to build my cloudy sky.

Next, I stamped my sunshine, taped it off, and then ink blended the ocean using a stencil. I adde a sentiment and some detail with a white gel pen and that was it.

Here's a look at the full December kit... Did you notice that there are some new colors of reactive ink?! Yellow embossing powder too!

Ok, that is it for me today but before we go I want to make sure you know about the giveaway...
