JOY!

I am having way too much fun with all of these new Holiday products! The "Joy" on this card comes from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits (which by the way can be bundled with the Wondrous Wreath photopolymer stamp set to make some really fun cards--hold on to your horses, more about that still to come!). I used the Confetti Stars Punch to punch the bottom of my Night of Navy card base and I added a Pool Party colored snowflake background from last year's Winter Frost DSP Paper Stack so that some color would show through the stars. I also used the punch on the inside of the card as well. I put strips of the new All Is Calm Washi tape on a piece of whisper white cardstock and cut that to fit the lower center of my card. I originally put the washi tape straight on the Night of Navy but because Night of Navy is so dark it washed out the colors of the washi tape. By using the whisper white I was able to keep the true, bright colors of the washi tape. I used Stretch Ruffle Trim Ribbon in Pool Party to line both top and bottom of my washi tape piece before I adhered it to my background. I used rolled up glue dots to stick the "Joy" on and was happy that that added some dimension and that you couldn't see the glue dots. The last thing I did was use the Confetti Stars Punch again to punch some silver stars to glue on the top of the card as a background for the "Joy." I am really loving the star confetti punch. It's great for both borders and confetti. I'm also finding that the punched borders look great whether you choose to leave them see through, or, to add a background.
