Just Floating by to Say Hello!

Hey everybody! I hope you're having an awesome day! I'm here with a bright and summery card today to kick off the Get Crafty with Hero Challenge over on the Hero Arts blog. The challenge this month is fun in the sun and that makes me think of sunshine, the ocean and everything under the sea.

I decided to use the Inverse Bubbles Bold Prints stamp to create an easy, watercolory background. I put it in my Misti, inked it up with multiple colors of Reactive Ink, spritzed it with water and then stamped it onto watercolor paper.  This gave me a great background that faded from watercolor into bubbles.

I used the Paper Layering Seahorses die, Hero Lifestyle Mermaid and the Seashells Fancy Dies to die cut some fun pieces to use for my card. I inkblended the seahorse in Creamsicle and Fruit Punch then splattered it with white and gold metallic ink. Some of the dies were cut from metal sheets from Tonic Studios and are so gorgeous in person!

I had a fun scrap of paper that I had stamped with the Novel Prose Bold Prints before spraying it with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. I cut a circle from that and used it as an anchor for the rest of my die cut pieces.  I glued them all down and then added a white mermaid tail in the bottom, left corner to finish my card off.

This card was so easy and fun to make! It's amazing how using die cut pieces can really help you pull a card together quickly. I'll add links to everything I've used today below in case you want to check anything out.

Have an awesome day!
Maria
